ILA and USMX Reach Wage Agreement and Current Walk Out is Over
Late Thursday, the International Longshoreman’s Association (ILA) and the Unites States Maritime Alliance (USMX) reached a tentative agreement that led to an accord to extend the Master Agreement and allow continued negotiations to complete the new contract. USMX agreed to a 62% increase for ILA employees over the next 6 years. Both sides agreed to allow negotiations to go until January 15, 2025. The ILA and USMX issued a joint statement on the tentative agreement and the end of the current work stoppage.
